Mold
MOLD. This small word has been the center
of great controversy in the Property Restoration Field for many
years. No matter which side of the controversy you are on, there is
no denying the facts: Mold has the potential to be extremely
dangerous and various types of fungi have been proven to cause
allergic reactions, respiratory tract irritation, hypersensitivity,
yeast infections, Aspergillosis and in some cases, cancer. Other
fungi damage furnishings, destroy wood or compromise the integrity
of the structure. It is important to address a mold situation in a
timely manner to prevent the spread of mold spores to other areas.
Mold is caused by water intrusion.
I.C.E.R uses innovative techniques to examine inaccessible areas
intruded by water and to determine the extent of the microbial
growth before remediating the hazardous conditions. I.C.E.R. will
locate the source of the mold contamination, set up negative air
containments to eliminate cross contamination and remove all
visually contaminated areas (according to Industry standards and
Environmental practices). Once the areas are exposed, further
inspection and remediation are employed to limit the chance of
future mold growth. All exposed areas are HEPA vacuumed, sanitized
and re-HEPA vacuumed.
